About a hundred years ago, an Amman statue appeared when a man from Adambakkam took water from a well. The black stone statue from the earth was sanctified and worshiped as the village god. The oldest statue is now known as Pandi Amman.
Palandi Amman Temple is a hindu temple located at Adambakkam, Chennai. The temple is dedicated to Hindu god Shakti .The temple is open from 6 AM to 12 PM and 5 PM to 8 PM. Palandi Amman Temple priests perform the pooja (rituals) during festivals and on a daily basis. The temple has seperate shrine for lord shiva, lord ganesha and lord muruga.
