Brahmapureeswarar Temple (Brahma Temple) - Tirupattur

Brahmapureeswarar Temple is a Shiva temple located in Tirupattur near Trichy. Although it is mainly a temple of Lord Shiva, it is an ancient temple which is very much associated with Lord Brahma.
The main deity is Brahmapureeswarar in the form of Swayambhu Lingam and the mother is Brahmanayaki.

There are Theertham wells in the temple called Brahma Theertham, Shanmuga Nadhi and Bahula Theertham.

There are 12 Shiv Lingams in the Temple complex. These Shiva Lingams were installed and worshipped by Lord Brahma. Most of these Shiv Lingams are housed in separate shrines, which are situated around the Brahma Theertham.

Brahma Theertham is the pond from which Lord Brahma took water for performing puja to Lord Shiva.
